Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites are free on Sept. 26 to celebrate National Public Lands Day. That means free fishing, hiking on nature trails, swimming, at any of the parks, free admission to many historic sites. Click here to find the extensive list of parks and sites in metro Atlanta and throughout the state.
North Georgia State Fair
It’s almost fall, which means it’s time for the North Georgia State Fair. The opportunities to save are plentiful, which means you could go more than once and still not be out of a lot of money. I haven’t seen any tickets for free cotton candy, but when it comes to admission in ride tickets, there’s plenty to choose from.
First up, you’ll want to take advantage of this deal before Sept. 19. Advance adult tickets are $3.50, student tickets are $1 and ride tickets with 22 coupons are $11. To get these prices, you’ll have to order your tickets online by clicking here.
But the deals don’t stop there. There are plenty more.
Admission is free on opening day, Sept. 24, and pay $18 for unlimited rides.
Friday, Sept. 25, pay $1off adult admission with a non-winning lottery ticket. Hey, that ticket is good for something even if you haven’t become an instant millionaire. It’s also free admission for seniors 55 years and old, from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26 is AJC and WSB 750 AM Family Fun day: Free admission and rides from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., two people ride for the price of one.
Sunday, Sept. 27: Admission is free all day for children 12 and under, and $1 off adult admission with a church bulletin.
Whew. That covers one week. Click here for a different deal every day for the fair, which ends Oct. 4.
Walking With Dinosaurs
The Walking With Dinosaurs at the Sept. 23-27 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Featuring 17 life-sized dinosaurs, this theatrical exhibit will be breathtaking for true dino fans. WSB-TV and the Family to Family project is offering discount tickets to the evening show, saving you $10 a ticket on seat levels 1 and 2. Purchase tickets from Ticketmaster, using the password ‘Family’ to get the discount on evening shows. There is a two-ticket minimum for the deal.
Free Quiznos Sub
There’s nothing to indicate this promotional coupon isn’t valid in Georgia, so bring it along the next time you pick up a sandwich at Quiznos. Use this coupon to get a free sub when you buy one of equal or greater value, with a regular fountain drink.
Free Calamari at Carrabas
I’ll admit. Carrabas is one of my favorite restaurants. Next time I go, I’ll have this coupon in my purse. It’s good for a free order of calamari. It’s good through Dec. 31.
Free Wings at T.G.I. Fridays
Thank goodness Monday night football is finally here. The folks at T.G.I. Fridays are just as excited. Don’t believe me? Why else would they have six free buffalo wings for everybody during tonight’s NFL double-header: Buffalo vs. New England, and San Diego vs. Oakland. Friday’s promises to keep specially-priced items going all football season.

“Friday, Sept. 25, pay $1 with a non-winning lottery ticket…”
I saw another website that said $1 off, not $1 admission.
