Domino’s Chocolate Lava Cake

I’ll admit: The date 09/09/09 will be a bit unusual. Not many would have come up with an actual food giveaway campaign around it, though. Give it up to Domino’s. If you turn 9 or 99 on Sept. 9, you can get a $25 gift card for pizza and the Chocolate Lava Crunch Cake. Pretty narrow parameters, yes, but if the shoe fits, you can have a cool birthday party with pizza and cake on Domino’s. Oh, only 99 people will win, of course. Free Flu Shots for the Unemployed

CVS Caremark has made flu shots available today, about a month earlier than usual. Starting Sept. 15, CVS said it will hold more than 9,000 “flu shot clinic events” at its stores, where pharmacists or other health care workers will give the injections. Cities on the Cheap reports that the shots will be free for those who are unemployed.

Discount in Little Five Points

A new Indian restaurant in Little Five Points — Niramish — gets high points for food, and just an ok on atmosphere, according to people who’ve reviewed it on Yelp.com. The consensus is the dinner is well worth it. This might help, too. I found a coupon on Valpak.com for 25 percent off dinner Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Taco Tuesdays!

Boneheads has free tacos every Tuesday through the end of October. Choose from fish, chicken or shrimp. Don’t have your mind set on making a meal of it. Only one taco per person. There are three locations around metro Atlanta. By the way, kids eat free on weekends at Boneheads.
