One step at a time…
The Downtown Atlanta Walk There Challenge, which urges downtown commuters to walk to promote healthy habits, reduce pollution and stay active, isn’t until Oct. 5-31. But you’ll want to get this deal now. The Downtown TMA is giving away free pedometers all this month to the Walk participants. Visit the website to get information about registering for your pedometer and to get a list of dates and times for distribution. Participants will log their steps online, and each week a winner of a Downtown-themed prize will be awarded a gift. At the end of October, the person with the largest step count wins a basket “of goodies perfect for a Downtown getaway.”
