For example, Dillard’s will offer makeovers and makeup artist samplings from 5-8:30 p.m., and White House/Black Market will host Fashion 101 events showcasing fall fashions. Movies & The Market runs through Oct. 29.

Swaptember

Cool name. Even better deal, if you’re a member of one of Atlanta’s cultural institutions involved in this annual deal. Members of Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical Garden, the High Museum, Atlanta History Center, Fernbank Museum, Georgia Aquarium, Imagine It! The Children’s Museum, Atlanta Ballet and Michael C. Carlos Museum all receive special admission prices and deals on other items at the individual institutions. If you belong to one or more of these local attractions, you get unique privileges at any of the others as they partner with one another. It would be a good time to take friends or family to the local attractions around town, using your membership card.
