It’s a good weekend for some cheap laughs. Laughing Skull’s own Marshall Chiles, and friends, are on stage and offering buy one, get one free admission to every show this weekend except Saturday night’s at 8 p.m. Use promo code ‘burger’ to get the deal. This weekend’s shows are fundraisers for the rebuilding efforts of the Georgia Theatre in Athens. Laughing Skull Lounge is in the Vortex at 878 Peachtree St., Atlanta.

I went a day early. After going to see a A Cool Drink A Water at the Horizon Theatre last night, I hung out at Manuel’s Tavern and saw a pretty sweet deal for this weekend. The Nomatique boutique sale is Friday and Saturday at the Shops around Lenox. There are far too many designers and merchants to name here, but discounts are in store on high-end clothing for men, women, teens and children. The event is free from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

$5 at the High

If you’re a fan of art and cultural events around town, it’s wise to follow them on Twitter or become fans on Facebook. Often, it’s the first place you’ll hear about a deal. I saw this deal on Twitter earlier this week: $5 admission to the High Museum on Saturday, albeit a small window, from 10 a.m.-noon. Once you’re in, take as much as time as you’d like, but you’re sure to beat the afternoon crowds if you arrive this early. These are walk-up purchases only.

Free and 50 percent off ASO tickets

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra announced a promotion this week with 4,000 free tickets available to Fulton County residents for the Aug. 15 show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheathre at Encore Park. Non-Fulton residents weren’t thrilled, but there is still an opportunity for you to save as well. For those outside the county, tickets are 50 percent off when you use promo code ‘HalfOff’ when making your purchase.

Cheap Creed tickets

I’ve never been to SmokeJack BBQ in Alpharetta, but if it’s in your neighborhood, you should print out these coupons.
