It’s the 80th anniversary of the Atlanta Ballet, which means the promise of breathtaking performances is likely in order. I wouldn’t let the 2009-2010 season pass without attending at least one ballet.
Through Sunday, Aug. 9, tickets to select ballets can be purchased at 50 percent off. Performances at the Cobb Energy and Performing Arts Center include Mozart’s Magic Flute, Cinderella, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Sheer Exhilaration.
It’s also the 50th anniversary of the Atlanta Nutcracker, held at the Fox Theatre. Those tickets are also buy one, get one free through Sunday.
