Birthday Burgers
I contend that birthday parties are best when food is involved. Apparently, the folks over at The Counter in Roswell are with me. It’s the upscale hamburger joint’s first birthday on July 29 and to celebrate the restaurant is giving away one free mini burger and fries to all customers who stop by and wish them a Happy Birthday. The Counter is at 850 Mansell Rd., and the mini burgers are available from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
School Supply Special
Today’s school supply special comes from Walgreen’s. Freestufftimes.com has a coupon for $1 off two packs of Bic highlighters. The same pens are on sale this week for 49 cents per pack, so if you buy two, it’s free. Not bad.
Free Ice Cream
July is almost behind us. That means National Ice Cream month is almost over, also. Snatch this buy one, get one free coupon up for a cone at Bruster’s in Dunwoody. The coupon is good through the end of August.
A Cool Drink A Water
The play, A Cool Drink A Water, playing at the Horizon Theatre has two specials you can take advantage of this weekend. Friday is Girls’ Night, and tickets are $5 off. The night also comes with free massages. Just use promo code Girls when purchasing your ticket. Saturday is Date Night; $10 off two tickets. Use promo code Date.

The Bic highlighters cannot be had for free. Because they’re on sale for 49 cents, Walgreen’s will not honor the $1.00 coupon.

Burgers at The Counter were not free for just saying “Happy Birthday”. If you ordered something else, they would give you “samples”.

Rita, Were the samples the mini-burgers and fries? Or even smaller than that? I’ll check this out. Definitely don’t want to mislead my readers with questionable promotions.

Not sure. When we asked about the mini burger and fries the person seating us said that the deal was that if you ordered something you would get free “samples.” Not sure what that meant because we said we would just come back another time and we left. Didn’t want a mini-burger and fries on top of something else (which we would have to purchase).
