Greetings! I’m an Atlanta-based freelance writer and editor who loves to dream about my next vacation. As monitor of this blog, I’m looking forward to collecting lots of new tips for navigating four great cities I’d love to visit. For many years, I oversaw the food and dining pages of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Nowadays I write cookbooks and contribute to a variety of publications. Last year, I wrote about fun places to eat in the Mississippi Delta for National Geographic Traveler, and I’m wrapping up a book about those adventures that’s due out this fall. Besides exploring the back roads of my home state, I love seeking out authentic experiences wherever I travel, especially the ones that involve good eating!
Hi! I’ve been a college English instructor for the past eight years and am now teaching in Atlanta. One of my favorite things about this job is that it gives me the opportunity to explore my passions in life. I am a film school product, and I briefly tried a stint in the film biz, but quickly found that I loved movies too much to try to make them. I love to travel, especially to places that have both a sense of history and newness, which makes it no surprise that the last two places I’ve lived are Atlanta and Charleston, SC. I am a man of the Southeast: born in Virginia, raised in South Carolina, and resided in many points in between all the way to Texas. This will be my first time visiting Baltimore, and I am really interested in finding out what makes Baltimore, Baltimore. I will admit, I don’t really know much about the city, but once I made these plans to visit, a number of my friends told me how much they loved the city. I’m excited to feel the love, too.
Whassup y’all? Before I go any further… Yes, Winston Warrior is my real name! I’m a proud native of Hot-lanta. I’m also a solo, indie R&B artist on my own label, Vintage R&B. I started my music career in the 90s singing in South Florida with “Lo’Profile”. That didn’t work out as planned, so I decided to use my undergrad business degree and MBA from “The U” (the University of Miami), to pursue a more traditional career in marketing. Last year I left a senior executive position in Corporate America to once again go after my dreams of being a singer. My Billboard charted song “Bad 4 U” and the newly released “Keep Movin’” from my debut album “Lifeology 101″ are being played around the world so promoting them and the album keep me on the road. In my spare time I love playing tennis, traveling and spending some QT with my family, friends and followers — Team Warrior and the Warrior Angels. I’m really looking forward to the launch of Southwest Airlines and flying to Austin! I hear it’s a dope city with a thriving music scene…and of course some good BBQ!

Howdy! I am a proud Mom-blogger, entrepreneur, and travel junkie. As a matter of fact, I started my online business, Rapidus Media, as a way to subsidize my adventures. I have called Atlanta home for 12 years, coming here by way of New York, Tampa and Chicago. I was bitten by the travel bug at age 12, after taking a Griswold-style, family vacation in a Mark III conversion van some 3,000 miles across the United States. We didn’t get to see the World’s Largest Twine Ball, and it’s since been on my bucket list. When I am not writing about my latest expeditions with my husband and two children, I am scheming about the next great adventure, trying out a new restaurant or the latest local attraction. My work has appeared in a number of publications including Patch.com, Examiner.com, and Atlanta Parent.
Hey folks! I am a freelance writer by day, joke teller by night, and doctoral student at Georgia State until further notice. I started my blog, allerinharper.com, last August, which has led to opportunities to blog for The Huffington Post, The Washington Post’s The Root DC Live, and now the AJC! Since I’ve lived in Atlanta my entire life, I enjoy planning affordable getaways as often as possible. When I am not conducting research with awesome girls and their mental health providers, I enjoy eating cream cheese frosting, thinking about the cute baby sea otters at The Georgia Aquarium, and filming unscripted videos from my couch. I am super excited about Southwest Airline’s Atlanta launch and flying to experience the awesome city of Denver; particularly because the one time I visited, I was only there for a two-hour presentation and didn’t get to do any of the amazing things I’ve heard the city has to offer!
