When I first was told I was going to Baltimore, the first question that came to mind was, What do I do in Baltimore? Well, what I found out was there is a TON to do in the city and I barely got to scratch the surface on this two day visit. Here are all the things that I didn’t get to do, but are on the top of my list for when I return (in no particular order):
I’m sure even this doesn’t cover it all either.
Baltimore is a really interesting city and I really dug getting to know it better. It’s a town with little frills and a lot of friendly people; it oozes authenticity. I will say, though, that the city won’t be for everybody. This isn’t Disneyland, but that’s what makes it a cool place to visit. It’s not really touristy and there is a lot of culture in Baltimore. The people are great. Yeah, there are some places in the city you should not walk through at night, but that’s just like any other big city in the U.S. Don’t let the fact that you saw too many episodes of The Wire stop you from checking the city out.
So, if you are a foodie, a museum goer, a lover of quirky spots, and/or a beer connoisseur, you will love Baltimore. If you want a spoon-fed vacation, stay away. This is a city of diverse experiences that wants explorers.
