The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra can’t solve the government shutdown, but it plans to provide some free music therapy to furloughed federal workers.
The ASO announced Tuesday that it will offer federal employees with government IDs two free tickets to classical concerts at 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 p.m. Saturday or a concert at 8 p.m. Friday by vocalist Chris Mann and the ASO. Mann is known for his appearances on NBC’s “The Voice.”
All three concerts will be in Symphony Hall.
The tickets — also available to veterans and military familes — must be claimed in advance at the Woodruff Arts Center box office. The offer will stand even if the impasse is resolved this week.
