Michelle Williams cast in ‘Fela’
Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child has been cast in the lead female role of the touring production the Tony-winning musical “Fela” that returns to Atlanta Feb. 28 through March 3 at the Fox Theatre. Williams will play activist Sandra Isadore, love interest of Nigerian Afrobeat singer Fela Kuti. Duain Richmond, who attended Benjamin Banneker High School in College Park, will star as Kuti (with Adesola Osakalumi playing the role in some performances).
