VISUAL ART
Menaboni mural resurfaces

There’s a renaissance of interest in the work of the late Atlanta bird painter and muralist, Athos Menaboni, the subject of a major exhibit at Kennesaw State University’s Don Russell Clayton Gallery through June 28. The DeKalb History Center will celebrate the installation of a 1958 mural by the Italian-born artist who died in 1990 at Decatur’s Brick Store Pub with a fund-raising reception, 2-4 p.m. June 24  ($40). The 27-foot-long mosaic, which had hung in two now-defunct banks, depicts the biblical verse, “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” 125 E. Court Square, Decatur. www.dekalbhistory.org (click Events & Programs). HOWARD POUSNER
