From Tony to Atlanta
Two of the actors celebrating “Clybourne Park’s” Tony Award for best play Sunday night not only have worked in Atlanta theater but will return to star in Georgia Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” this fall. Crystal A. Dickinson is one of “Clybourne’s” stars, and her husband, Brandon Dirden, is an understudy in the comedy-drama examining race and class in America (extended through Sept. 2 at the Walter Kerr Theatre). Woodruff Arts Center’s new trustees
Woodruff Arts Center board chair Larry Gellerstedt III and president and CEO Joseph R. Bankoff recently announced the election of 12 new members to the organization’s Board of Trustees, including:
“We are thankful to have such distinguished individuals and businesses willing to contribute their leadership, their time and their resources to sustaining the arts as a critical community asset,” Gellerstedt said in a statement. “The individuals joining the board understand that it is our responsibility to make the Center an even greater public resource for the future of our city.” JENNIFER BRETT
