EVENT
Chastain fest
The spring festival season is in full swing across the metro area, and street-filling throngs the last two weekends for Inman Park and Dunwoody’s fests suggests that big numbers of people are interested in perusing art and crafts, sometimes even buying. Speaking of large numbers, here are some for this weekend’s Buckhead Spring Arts & Crafts Festival at Chastain Park: 175 participating artists, 80 percent from Georgia, 15,000 attendance last year (with more expected for this second edition). The fest also will feature a children’s play area, acoustic music, pet parade and food court. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. [May 14-15] Free. Located along Park Drive between Stella Drive and Dudley Drive. 404-845-0793, www.buckheadartsfestival.com. HOWARD POUSNER
