Madam C.J. Walker (1867-1919) led a storied life as a hair-care entrepreneur and philanthropist who is believed to be the first African-American female millionaire.
After successful stagings in New York and Decatur, Theatre South Atlanta presents an encore of “Madam: A Musical Based on the Life of Madam C.J. Walker” to Stone Mountain’s Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts for shows Oct. 21-24.

Founded in 2007 by Herman LeVern Jones, Theatre South is a resident theater company at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center in south DeKalb County.
