Kelly Clarkson on Jay Leno looks great all glammed up. And sounds amazing, as always:
The song is now at No. 27 on the Mediabase top 40 charts in its second full week.

Not a chance, she doesn’t have “the” look.

JT, give me a couple of hours…I’m sure I can help her get “the look.” Wait, what?

So…if you don’t already have this page bookmarked, there is now no way left to get to this blog. Even the link on Rodney’s Radio & TV blog is gone. So, bookmark now for tomorrow’s blog where Rodney explains it all…..or at least some of it.

She really can sing. It’s sad that some won’t give her a fair shake simply because she doesn’t have model looks. She looks fine to me though. I’d bang her like a drum if you know what I mean.

Well, you’re sure not the Mitch who used to hang out on this blog!
So far X-F looks a lot like Idol.

Re Nicole on X-F: I never thought I’d say this but she makes Paula seem like a grown-up.

Deirdre sweetheart you can still get to it from the Celebrities & TV drop down menu at the top of the Access Atlanta page is what my wife’s nephew tells me. He also tells me he will repay the student loan we cosigned when he gets out of school or should I say if he ever gets out of school but after seventeen years who is counting?

Caught the X-Factor tonight, kind-of a cross between a singers-only AGT and Idol. Complete with the back-stories, recovering addict, tear-jerking, 13 year-old singer with a big voice and some good talent mixed with the worst auditions to put on the air. Includes groups and bands.
Guess the formula works real well. Several performances were snuck-in between the wall of commercials, but was fun to watch. Lots of Pepsi promo.
Didn’t see anything to rival Kelly’s, Carrie’s, David C., Adam’s or Haley’s level talent shown so far.

Watched X-Factor… bring back Cheryl Cole.
Stop the cliché’s and you can start doing that by getting rid of the Welsh Giant. Oh look they’ve got an announcer with a cute accent, haven’t seen that before. Never imagined they’d have someone with an accent doing the voice-over work for an American series. What will they think of next. I don’t care that he isn’t American, it’s just not original. It’s been so many times that it’s now a joke.
Guy drops his pants like that you shut off the music. 5 seconds of that shame on him 10 seconds of that shame on the people in charge.
Yeah, I’m not terribly impressed. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just more of the same. I’ll try not to bring everyone down, but bring back Cheryl Cole.

Morning, all!
JT, I thought the same thing (re: Cheryl Cole) and the voice-over/host dude (don’t even remember his name, but his voice was annoying!)! I didn’t have any problem understanding what she said. I’m thinking it was more a situation where a producer (maybe even Simon himself) watched the first audition and said, “You know, that’s a lot of British accents for an American talent show.”
So they got rid of one. …The wrong one, IMO.

Couldn’t agree more, JT! The first word out of my mouth as soon as those silver pants came down would have been “Security!”
I saw some potential in some of the singers. I saw a show that appears to be a cross between everything bad on AGT bundled together with everything good about Idol. I’ll watch again but any more shenanigans and I’m outta there!

I thought the host with the accent was redundant. Didn’t need him at all and we won’t find out if he’s any good until the live shows. That being said, Seriously, Simon, I thought this was supposed to be the AMERICAN version of X-F. However, I am even more confused as to why Cheryl Cole was ousted. Could it have been the “Brit factor”?
