‘Hoarders’ spoof featuring Tori Spelling and… Clay Aiken

Okay, I got pilloried by Claymates last week for implying that he hasn’t done that much acting. He has done a reasonable amount. This latest effort is really really funny. It’s a spoof of “Hoarders” on the Funny or Die site featuring Tori Spelling and Mr. Aiken himself. His portrayal on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” on July 24 is pretty straightforward in comparison.

Hysterical! Loved it! Tori might have a career in acting after all.

He needs to do more acting. He’s a natural.

Hope this will be the beginning of his doing more acting. He IS a natural. Love his singing too!

Not much acting?? Clay has been acting since he was in high school Check out his great acting AND singing in his high school production of OKLAHOMA! He was Will and quite good, I might say!!! Also..did you not know he did TWO stints in Spamalot on Broadway???? He brought down the house many times!! I am sure you have been filled in on the multitude of acting that Clay has done over the years. Catch him on Drop Dead Diva this coming Sunday! The ‘hoarders’ video was hilarious. I just wish Clay didn’t act like he normally is. He was way over-the-top in this–it is NOT the way Clay normally is!!

Jean, you are what makes Clay Aiken fans appear crazy. Employ a little reading comprehension, it will help you out.

“He was way over-the-top in this–it is NOT the way Clay normally is!!”

That is because he is ACTING!

Here we go again. Didn’t we just have this same conversation last week?

LOL!!! I knew one of them would find something negative in Rodney’s piece. If Rodney had written “Clay Aiken: the best most prolific actor of our era” one of the Claymates would complain that it didn’t also include previous eras.

JTesla- I know he was acting. I basically said that so others who do NOT know Clay wouldn’t think that is they way he is, normally. And there are some out there who would think Clay is ‘flamboyant’ when he isn’t. That’s all.

Laurence Olivier is not worried about the competition probably even if he is dead nor ever did Oklahoma in high school.

Jean…this is an American Idol blog…we all know Clay…no need to worry, we know he isn’t “flamboyant” and probably wouldn’t care if he was. And most of us have done “acting” in high school…no need to mention that one either.

LOL@D!

And, Mo, Laurence Olivier was not flamboyant either, although he might have appeared in the video, should he have lived long enough.

mj has video of Clay on The Talk today and, as usual, he’s a great interview. I recommend y’all see the 2 videos but briefly, he talks about his son Parker, his tour with Ruben(he loved it and loves Ruben) his appearance on Drop Dead Diva(he calls himself “not really an actor but a singer who acts), why he doesn’t watch Idol(sweaty palms and it’s like going back to visit your high school nearly 10 years after graduation) and he talks about quitting the performing business in the not too distant future and going back to teaching.

He says the bit about quitting show business very gently so as to not give any Claymates in the audience heart failure.

For your money there is no better Aikins than Claude who was in that television program and also in that war motion picture where the guy and girl made love on the beach with their clothes on probably to keep out the sand. Also he was not flamboyant at least that you can tell from his acting because he did not have a beach scene.

Actually, Harriett, lord Olivier WAS flamboyant…

Good for him if he does phase out singing and acting. Follow your dreams and if his dreams are teaching then he will be a true Idol.

Thanks for the Claude Aikins reference, for those a little younger he also chased around a truck driver and his chimpanzee. (B.J. and the Bear)

Clay can be heard saying something like, “This is so stupid.” at the end of the skit.
Have to agree with the man. I have to say that he is a very good sport!
Really looking forward to seeing him on DDD. I’ve heard good things about it.

Thanks, I think, Seth T… Becka’s new song sounds like an Idol Coronation song by Kara…not quite as good/bad as “Friday”, but irritating enough.
