Kelly Clarkson headlined Saturday’s 125th anniversary Coca-Cola celebration at Centennial Olympic Park before thousands of Coke employees on a picture-perfect spring day.
She was joined by Natasha Bedingfield, One Night Only and Ne-Yo. Clarkson sang a ten-song set, including most of her biggest hits, from “Behind These Hazel Eyes” to “Already Gone.” Singing barefeet on a red carpet, she sounded great and appeared to be great spirits. She noted her favorite Coke drink is Cherry Coke and said she probably drinks too much of it.
At the end, when a chorus came out to sing “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing,” Bedingfield and Clarkson joined them briefly.
She didn’t do any interviews. She isn’t big on press unless she has to. (I’ve seen her in concert numerous times but have never interviewed her.)
Here she is singing “Since U Been Gone.”
The set list:
I Do Not Hook Up
Behind These Hazel Eyes
Because of You
Since U Been Gone
Seven Nation Army (a nifty White Stripes cover)
My Life Would Suck Without You
