‘American Idol’ top 6 results live blogging

Sorry to post this (almost) late. But after two weeks unable to do this on results night, I’m back! We are all assuming Jacob Lusk is going home, which means he probably isn’t, eh?

Anyway, it’ll be good to hear from Crystal Bowersox and Bruno Mars tonight! Rumors that we’ll see Jennifer Lopez perform, too, but that has not been confirmed by “Idol.”

Disappointed with tonight’s result…not James!!!!!!! Just about anyone else could go home and I wouldn’t be too upset.

Well you can call us what we are or be PC. I earned every gray hair having fun, committing immoral acts or pushing the boundaries. I’m proud of them all

Scotty front and center….jimmy gives his analysis….Scotty did a really good job with his song…..Scotty is…..Ryan isn’t going to tell us.

Lauren up next

The writers have such a great sense of drama. And Ryan delivers it well

Deirdre

April 28th, 2011
8:35 pm

Scotty did a better job with his song than Lauren did with hers, imo….jimmy says Lauren only hears the negative in her critiques….jimmy thinks Lauren is here for the long run….now Lauren sits down without a result.

Casey is next

Deirdre

Casey’s song is reviewed…always intersting but not really Idol material, imo. He will have a career in music according to jimmy who says the family dog does not vote on this show, referring to casey’s growl…….Casey sits without a result

Were Scotty, Casey and Jacob the bottom three? Or when Seacrest kept saying “random order” was he saying that these were not the bottom three, just the last three standing for elimination?

I am in Indonesia so I do not see the show (on Star World) until approximately 11 hours after it airs. I think you should let the contestants sing next week before deciding who is the next to go. Jacob could have a blow out performance. Right now it’s 8:15 in the morning and I have to get to work.

I’m not disappointed that Casey went home. Sometimes he was very good, but more often lately he was absolutely painful to listen to.
I assume Jacob will go home next week. Haley has improved her song choices and therefore improved her performances.
I’ve assumed from the beginning that Lauren would win, but now I’m not as sure. I don’t think Haley will win, but James or Scotty have a pretty good shot.

Someone asked me this question tonight, just thought I’d throw this out as he is a bit of an oddsmaker: “Think about this carefully – if you are a viewer that wishes to get someone to end-up with the least votes, get them out of the competition at last – then who should you be voting for? Will voting for the front-runner really help accomplish that? or would it be more likely that casting 50 votes for another, weaker in the polls contestant, would help serve that objective. “
