‘American Idol’ top 11 results live blogging
The Zap2it blog expert panel consensus departure is Haley Reinhart (21), followed by Thia Megia (6) and one lone pick for Stefano Langone. I am part of the consensus this week but I’m definitely due for a mistake. It really could be Thia. Pleasant and dull is not a ticket for victory.

That reaction by Casey really shows how real of an artist he is. He was All In on that song and when they cut him off you could see all that emotion coming out through his hands – like when you wake real fast from a deep sleep. Epic show tonight.

Night all. I will be gone until Monday. I am headed for San Antonio and a big wing-ding over the weekend with the SA Symphony and Donald Braswell and the fan club. Two concerts with the symphony and meeting friends from all over the country who gather for these events.

That was a real nail-biter tonight. I’m glad Casey is still in this thing. It sounds like most of us are.
I normally watch this on a small TV, and I’m in a hotel room in Little Rock right now with a 42″ screen. Daaaaaaang, I do not think I like a life-size J-Lo in my room.

Congrats Deirdre! Epic call for you. You should replace Randy on next year’s judges panel. Wow, big show tonight. I really was thinking Casey was about to lose it. Could the drama be staged??? I’m having my doubts, but it was still great TV.

Nothing set up…everybody loved Casey at the beginning, then with each performance he was disappointing…others were better, Casey wasn’t getting the votes…pretty soon, people, like every year, are trying to save the people they like who don’t do well…Stefano, Haley…people are voting for them thinking that Casey is safe…or not thinking about it at all.
It’s how a popular singer gets eliminated every year…voters start focusing on saving a bad singer who is a nice person and the good singers get left on the side of the road.
And if I was right about Casey being eliminated…then the save part was obvious. Seriously, though…it was just dumb luck!

So the show decided to add drama by faking he was voted off only to
SAVE him! I don’t believe any of our votes really count!
I will never watch and believe the show is real again.

This show made me sick. And all of you tone deaf idiots out there that think Casey can actually sing makes me sick too. The Judges WASTED the save on Casey. The 3 worst singers in the competition are, in no particular order, Thia, Casey, and Naima. Both Thia and Naima have a horrible range. They both sound like crap when they try to go low or high. Both have about an 8 note range, difference between the 2 is that Thia sounds good in hers, Naima doesn’t. A singer should not be on this show with ONLY a 1 octave range. Casey while musically talented can’t sing either. All he can do is grumble and growl, and he uses that to mask his lack of vocal talent.
While many people don’t like Haley, she CAN sing and is very talented. She has close to the best control of her voice. Her changes between head and chest voice are nearly impeccable. And I’m laughing to myself because a good majority of you probably don’t know what that is. Many professional singers can’t do it, well. Haley’s problem is that she’s trying to do to much with each song. It’s too early in the stages for that. Take Pia for example. She’s keeping it simple, stupid. BUT, doing it PERFECTLY. I don’t think she’s missed a note yet.
James is another story. While he’s a good singer, I’m tired of him already. He is this years Adam Lambert, with 2 differences: He’s straight and not as good.

I could not believe that anyone can possibly say that Casey Abrams can sing. He is a screamer. That song he was singing when Randy cut him off was horrible. Is this what our music tastes have gone to. He might be a nice guy, but he is one of the worst singers that I have ever head, and America must agree. They have voted him off twice, and the judges keep saving him. There is definitely something going on here. This show is nothing but junk and now someone else who didn’t get voted off will suffer. So unfair….
