Recently betrothed Kellie Pickler on ‘Ellen’ talks about elopement

Kellie Pickler is a regular guest on “The Ellen DeGeneres  Show.” She’s always a delight:

She explained why they decided to elope on New Year’s Day:

“Every time we got to the guest list, it was like, ‘Oh my God! I hate half these people,” she said.

She and her hubby of seven weeks Kyle Jacobs found a small Caribbean island.

“We didn’t plan anything,” she said. “We just packed a wedding dress. We packed him an outfit. We flew there. We didn’t know what kind o f cake. we didn’t have our food picked out. We just had faith in God that it’d work out. It was the most incredible day of my life.”‘

Ellen gave her a wedding gift: a bed with a covering featuring a photo of Pickler meeting her hero Clint Eastwood the last time she was on “Ellen.”

Pickler considers “11″ her lucky number, thus 1-01-11 is now her wedding date forever. She sees it everywhere – on her microwave, her oven, you name it.

She had no bachelorette party so Ellen sent out three male stripper types to dance with her. “My husband’s backstage!” she protested – kinda.

Guess I missed the other comments, but pretty sure most mouths dropped when Ashley got married. WTH was dude thinking??? She gives me the impression that there are a few other personalities living with her.

I know what the dude was thinking: she might make it big and then she’ll dump me… or worse yet, find another dealer.

Clay Aiken numbers came out from his concert last week at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. He sold 556 tickets, according to stats collected from MJ’s blog. The venue only sold orchestra seats (928 in total) and closed off loge and mezzanine. The capacity of the center is 2,750.

@JTesla – I was thinking he thought that too and put his head in his hands when she got booted off. Now, he has to listen to her bemoan her performance for years to come.

Clay only sold 556 tickets? LOL, awesome. Don’t let the Claymates read that, because it is obviously a lie, Clay sells out arenas don’t you know!

Just spoke with Melinda Doolittle. Such a sweet woman. And she just got a great review for her run at Feinstein’s in NYC from the New York Times. She’s at Ferst Center March 12. You can get $20 tickets here: http://atlanta.tix.com/Event.asp?Event=331617

Instead of “Recently betrothed” – shouldn’t it be “Newlywed?” Betrothed is engaged. Wed is married.
