Names floating around the Web of who is at Carrie Underwood’s wedding today at 5 p.m. at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro: Paula Abdul (who was in Peachtree City Friday for “Drop Dead Diva” taping), Faith Hill, Tim McGraw (left), Garth Brooks. MJ says David Cook was spotted, too.
The Ottawa Citizen has a reporter and photographer around town but they can’t get inside. It sounds like an unnamed publication has exclusive access to photos inside Reynolds Plantation, which is blocked off from any outsiders this weekend. My guess: People magazine.
I”m kind of glad I’m not out there because it sounds like it would be a largely fruitless (and hot) affair. Private security kept them off the private road leading to the hotel and cops kept them off the public roads after 90 minutes of taking limos rolling in.
My source said yesterday at noon he’d be inside the complex last night but have not heard from him since. I’m not sure if he’s paranoid he might be caught or if cel phones/iPhones are being confiscated at the entrance. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that.
UPDATE (3:09 p.m.): Remember Lindsey Cardinale? The Ottawa Citizen live blog has someone speculating the former “Idol” contestant is a bridesmaid. A lot of country acts have pre-scheduled concerts tonight so can’t make it e.g. Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts. Her buddy Kellie Pickler is set to perform in Madison, N.D. tonight.
And at about 3 p.m., the Ottawa reporter Joanne Chianello and her photographer Chris Mikula got a nice couple to take them on a boat out on Lake Oconee and get them in sight of the resort. Good for them! They were able to see guests by the lakeside from about 50 meters away. She said there are about 14 boats with her. Looks like the cops are not trying to shoo people away from the water. Then again, the wedding looks to be inside, as my source said Thursday.
UPDATED: 4:28 p.m. Cadillac Jack of Kicks fame sent out this Twitpic from above in a helicopter. He just confirmed to me that indeed he is in the sky via text message at 4:31 p.m.
At 4:46 p.m., 14 minutes before the wedding was scheduled to start, he posted this on Twitter:
We have landed safely back at Briscoe Field. My intent was never to disrupt Carrie and Mike’s day. I wish them nothing but the best
At 4:56 p.m.: Checked the Tweets of Paula Abdul and David Cook. Both have been on Twitter but neither are indicated where they are.
