Allison Iraheta has not had much luck in the radio hit department after “Friday I’ll Be Over U” and “Scars” bombed out. (No airplay at all on any radio station last week.) Maybe Orianthi will help her out with a beefed up version of her song “Don’t Waste the Pretty.”

She’s a really talented singer. I can only hope radio embraces this song, which is actually pretty catchy. Top 40 program directors should give it a spin.
Here’s that list of 120 “Idol’ contestants ranked by the LA Times using a non-scientific method. I’m saddened to see my bud and Atlantan Vanessa Olivarez from season two all the way down at 117 but that’s not surprising. And yes, Constantine at No. 7 seems awfully high.
- Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox sold about 400,000 downloads last week, half as many as Adam Lambert and Kris Allen a year ago, according to Idol Chatter. No surprise there.
“It’s about half the sales total of Kris Allen and Adam Lambert following the finale last year,” says Nielsen Entertainment vice president Chris Muratore. Top finishers Allen and Lambert placed 25 songs in the top 200 during the 2009 finale week.
