David Archuleta wishes everyone a happy 2010

I scanned MJ and the usual suspects and there is really nothing going on. I’m impressed MJ even came up with as many items as she did.

And since it’s now 5:35 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, I’m going to be lazy and just post David Archuleta’s YouTube New Year’s wishes. He just turned 19 but still looks about 12 years old. An adorable 12 year old, of course! He sounds happy as always. He went Christmas caroling during the holidays. He’s performing at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, TX.

Angela Martin, who has made it to Hollywood before and is promoted as coming back again this year, said her mom is missing, according to this story on Fox Chicago.

She got airtime in 2008 on “Idol” after her father was murdered. And here’s the promo she’s in for the upcoming season:

Thanks Rodney… wait how do I say “Thanks” with a lot of sarcasm? However, I must say this: very crafty. I should start drinking now, everyone else should too.

Angela Martin, don’t remember her sorry to hear about her mother.

Archie wishes us a happy 2010….WTF??? Thanks anyway, Mr. Ho. Happy New Year to everyone (which might be only be JT!) and let the college football, beer and pizza begin!

I’m surprised that the army of David didn’t come to slam Rodney for the 12 year old comment. Maybe they were too busy mixing some cool-aid since their predictions of Archie being bigger than Elvis didn’t pan out.

I agree. I figured Rodney did an Archuleta theme to try to generate some passionate blogging (can I say that?). Didn’t seem to work this time…so bring on more Carrie and Kelly C. pics!

WP and JT, guess since the blog isn’t linked to the front page Rodney’s comment will slip by the Archie-maniacs this time. Maybe if RH had went on to say DA SINGS like a 12-year old girl!

Happy New Year, y’all…. Just watched another story on Fox about that young soldier from Deirdre’s hometown, i believe a friend of her son’s … nice story. What an inspiration he should be to so many who want to whine about their sorry lot in life — If only there were a way to capture his attitude and bottle it (or put it in a pipe?) like some positive drug, LOL. Watching the story makes my heart ache, yet makes me so proud of people like Dan!

Morning!

The painters will arrive tomorrow to start painting my house from top to bottom, inside and out. I’m not sure when I’ll have a computer and when I won’t. So I thought I’d chat with y’all for a few minutes.

Mr Boston arrived in his new town yesterday. He and the future Mrs Boston are busy setting up their apartment.

Mr Hollywood is still looking for a job here so that he can become the new Mr Atlanta and stay near his girlfriend(who is delightful). He will return to the west coast after my surgery and start packing up his belongings.

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year and we are now I-Day minus 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just trying out new laptop – my first! – and it’s growing on me. Very different from stationary computer, but I love that it can be carried all over the place and used everywhere…

Happy First Work Week of the Year, everyone!

Mercedes, my 22 y/o wants to know how he can get into previewing movie for a living, he said he’d be great at it…i have to agree, that boy can watch more STUFF than anyone i know, and still have somewhat of a life! And he writes, so at least he could relate his impressions, LOL! I thought of you when he said that.

Deirdre, wow. Whole-house paint job! I don’t think I have EVER seen that … i seem to be a one-room-at-a-time kind of person, LOL!

When did you say the surgery is? I’m sure you said, but my brain didn’t retain it.

What’s the future Mr. Atlanta looking for? I mean, I know what you said he was doing out yonder on the left coast, but… refresh me?

see, i’m losing my memory evidently… i may even be found to be asking stupid questions!

oh well.

anywho… catchya later, gang….

linny, biz for movie critics isn’t very good right now. Few newspapers keep their own film critics anymore since stuff from wire services is cheaper. Guess your 22-year old could get himself a blog, but how you turn that into a profitable venture, I don’t know!

Good Monring and a Happy New Year Everybody.

Today’s Quote: “One must never turn one’s back on life.”

I hope everyone had a nice New Year. I spent mine in the hospital with double pneumonia and dehydration. Hubby checked me out Saturday before he took my Dad back to LaGrange. So, my time with Dad was cut short by my being in the hospital for three days. Feeling some better, at least I’m at work this morning, but for how long, I’m not sure.

I will try to read all the threads that I’ve missed and post accordingly later.

Morning, folks. Good to hear you’re feeling better, Nana! Best wishes for a quick and full recovery.

17-19 degrees here this morning with a predicted high of only 33 or so. All I can say is, thank God for global warming! Otherwise, I’m sure we’d be looking at below zero temperatures!!

(Sarcasm? …What sarcasm? …It’s too cold to be sarcastic! …Okay, maybe not!) ;-)

Morning!

Nana, so sorry to hear about your hospital stay. How many times did y’all remind me that, when you’re taking care of someone else, you have to take care of yourself, too. I hope you are doing much better.

Highlander…as soon as Al Gore comes out of hibernation he’ll explain why freezing temps are also a part of global warming…excuse me, climate change. (and before I get landed on, yes, I believe that we all need to start treating the planet better)

8 days and counting!!!!!!!!!

linny, Mr Hollywood/Atlanta is looking for client management/project management work. He is looking in many industries as well as the entertainment industry here in Atlanta. He has a couple of prospects at the moment and is keeping his fingers crossed.

And linny, get ready for the crowds joining you in the evening once the show starts!!!!

Morning, folks. I’m back from a much-needed break.

Heads up Rodney! David Cook will appear on this week’s “Extreme Makeover – Home Edition.”

Fox Reality Channel has been re-running Season 9 the past few days. I have to say… I’m much less impressed with Michael Sarver this time around than I was the first time. And I still wish 2 of the 4 judges had just said ‘no’ to “He whose name I shall never type” during the San Francisco auditions.

Had an eye appointment over the holidays. (I’m having to finally go with bi-focals when I wear glasses, though I still don’t need reading glasses when I wear my contacts.)

Actually tried on a couple of (overpriced) “Randy Jackson” frames. Looked at myself in the mirror and started thinking stuff like “Dawg, that looks just working for me.”

Then I started flashing that sideways peace sign and going “boo Simon!!” :-)

Welcome back Rickster! Definitely stay away from the Randy Jackson frames. And if Paula Abdul has frames, definitely do NOT go there!

Hey y’all,

Good mornin’ and Happy New Year. BTW, when does one stop saying that?

Nana, sorry to hear you’ve been so sick. I hope you’re on the mend asap.

Next week is almost upon us. And well, as much as I love the blog traffic for Rodney’s sake, am I the only one who kinda wishes we didn’t get all the crazies and insane amounts of posts? ;) So I’ll be doing my best to keep up.

Hope y’all are staying warm….brrrr.

Nana, best of luck to your speedy recovery. Sometimes, just the peace and quiet of a hospital stay can do wonders for one’s physical ailments.

Mercedes…. WHAT hospital peace & quiet? :-)

They come in (seemingly) every 15 minutes checking your vital signs – even during the night – not allowing you to sleep. And if you’re not sick when you go in… you’ll get sick while you’re there.

Now… maybe a drug-induced coma. :-)

Christmas was rather subdued this year. First Christmas my wife wasn’t able to call her sister.

Christmas Eve we had our youngest son, daughter-in-law & granddaughter over. Son & granddaughter had been sick, but (we thought) were over it and not contagious.

Starting Christmas afternoon, my wife started coming down with whatever they. We called our oldest son & d-i-l (who were on their way back from FL.) and told them to head on home – rather than come to our house. Christmas night… I started coming down with it to. :-(

Luckily, I got over it rather quickly and our daughter never showed any symptoms.

So we have Christmas – Part II this Thursday night.

Morning all, I have to break out my standard global warming statement: local weather conditions neither prove nor disprove global warming. Trust me this summer when it’s warm that statement will also apply.

Deirdre, thanks for the pics, so did Jason get married at Mall of America? Speaking of pictures, please be kind to us.

K&Cfan, I hear you. Here comes the mad blogging.

While we’re on the subject of New Years… was flipping the channels and got to see Daughtry, Kris Allen (you know.. the guy who actually won) and Allison Iraheta (sp?)

Was rather underwhelmed by all three performances, though “for me” Daughtry had the best performance – especially considering the cold, rainy conditions in Times Square.

Kris seems better suited for smaller, intimate events/venues.

And I have no idea what Allison was thinking with her outfit, hair and song selection.

Sorry, JT but when I’m in charge I won’t be able to post anything but comments. Apparently the ajc doesn’t trust me with access to “blog central”. I can’t imagine why!? ;-) I will be posting pics and vids the way I do now.
