Daughtry joining Seacrest at ‘Rockin’ Eve’ on ABC; more Adam Lambert appearances

Chris Daughtry and his band will join Ryan Seacrest live at Times Square December 31 for “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” Jennifer Lopez will be there, too.

And Adam Lambert is still all over TV, including “So You Think You Can Dance” finale last night, the “Jay Leno” show and “Chelsea Lately.”

Here is his SYTYCD “Whataya Want From Me” performance. What IS that on his shoulder? Looks like plasticized poop.

And here’s a loose interview he has with Chelsea Handler:

Adam’s a natural redhead, apparently,. and fat in high school. And she won’t mind him having men grinding their heads into his crotch anytime he wants on her show.

Idol Chatter provided the top “Idol” alum album sales in 2009. Yes, album sales are not what they used to be!

Carrie Underwood’s “Play One” : 844,000
Daughtry’s “Leave This Town”: 806,000
Kelly Clarkson: “All I Ever Wanted”: 784,000
David Cook: “David Cook”: 451,000
Carrie Underwood: “Carnival Ride” 432,000
Adam Lambert “For Your Entertainment” 296,000
Daughtry, “Daughtry” 241,000
Jennifer Hudson “Jennifer Hudson” 234,000
Carrie Underwood “Some Hearts” 224,000
Kellie Pickler “Kellie Pickler” 199,000

Highlander, all we had to do was ask Rodney what that is on Adam’s shoulder!

I’ll miss the Rockin eve, if I’m not playing poker I’ll be in bed.

Thanks for the numbers Rodney, where is Kris? Nice to see some of the prior favorites can still sell.

Would have been fun to watch the Chelsea Handler clip, but it froze up every five seconds and took forever to restart before another five seconds were up.

Perferct descitprion of the shoulder decor, Rodney.

Hubby said Leona Lewis’s missing front panel of her dress must have caught fire and been put out on Adam’s shoulder.

SYTYCD: Glad Russell won. He worked VERY hard, and while Jakob may have been a better technical dancer, Russell was awfully dang good for a former Crumper!! who’da thunk a crumper would know to point his toes???

SING-OFF: D, i’m with you on being a bit disappointed in Nota’s performances last night. And it was nice to see the Bubs calm it down a bit. I was actually a little disappointed to see SoCal go, I liked their performances pretty well. Oh well.

Rick, JT, y’all shake hands and come out smiling!!! Rick, you know we love you and hold you and your family in our prayers and hearts. But give ol’ Snarkster a break, he’s really not picking on you.

And I’m sorry. I LIKE susan boyle!!!

not much else to say at this point, except work was WEIRD without once checking the blog, LOL. I do miss you guys, you know.

It takes some getting used to Linny! You are experiencing blog withdrawl symptons! I still wish I had more opportunity to blog, when I do find time,I’m usually too tired. :-(

I was satisfied with the outcome of the Sing-off and SYTYCD. I like the three remaining groups and I will be happy with any of them winning. I thought Russell might injure himself more when he was announced as the winner.

HEYYYYY! I am back, but like linny, have been unable to blog. My reason is that I was gone since last Thursday, and there is a mound and a half of work. I have not even had time to peek in much. Also, someone left their position, and since I know quite a bit about it, they kindly asked me to help out until they hire someone. Whew! I feel like I have been on a treadmill. Catch me up. What is the Sing-off? I have been totally out of touch. I did manage to watch the finale of SYTYCD last night, and was glad Russell won. I did know that Jacob was a much more polished dancer and will have no trouble at all getting work now, but it was great seeing someone come so far.

My trip was great, but now I am totally into the Christmas thing, and not a minute too soon!

Liked Adam’s interview with the twit. He comes off as pretty relaxed and personable. But, at this stage, I think he needs to make a decision regarding his image. Does he want to be the black leatherette garbed Goth-look rocker or the David Bowie “Thin White Duke”-look rocker? I think he needs to choose one and start creating that ‘brand’ for himself.

Surprised to see Daughtry outsold Kelly in 2009. Wouldn’t have guessed that. And kudos to Kellie Pickler! Way to go, girl!

One question though, RH. Are these figures just CD sales or do they include album downloads, too?

Morning! Thanks, D. Happy to be back on. I missed lots of stuff and have not gone back to read past threads. Have I missed anything major? I can’t wait until we get back into the Idol thing.

Morning, everyone. Will be bugging out from work around mid-day. Have to travel back up to KY for the memorial service. Wonderful driving weather, huh?

After today, I’ll will be off work till January 4th. So I won’t be on much – if at all – till then.

So I wish everyone a very merry Christmas, and a safe, happy New Year.

TGIF, y’all!

Wow, all of Carrie’s albums made the top 10. That’s insane…but really awesome for her. I’m surprised All I Ever Wanted hasn’t sold more, but oh well.

Rickster, have a safe drive and same to you! Enjoy your time off!

So, did anyone attend the Star 94 show?

Rickster, may God bless you and your family through this trying time and help you find a way to enjoy the season somehow. You are driving right into all that snow, so be careful. I drove to Lexington, KY on Monday and back on Tuesday, so I sympathize with the distance. Take care, and we will see you in the new year.
