Hey Rodney: I think most Glamberts left, because they were too tired to defend Lambert. I wonder if they would spend their money on him anymore.

Ok now I know that many people just went HOLY CRAP! when adam lambert performed at the AMA's Sunday night. Now I will grant that I was a little bit blown away by the performance, but let me you tell you this, deep down I expected it. His single, "for your entertainment," is a very upbeat song that you would probably here in a dance club. But the reason I expected it to happen is because of the lyrics in the song. "Im gonna hold ya down until your screaming my name" "Its bout to get rough for you" "take the pain take the pleasure, im the master of both" and the one that should have been the red flag "thought an angel swept u off ur feet, well im bout to turn up the heat" His song is telling you that he is not a sweet innocent man, he is just like all the other entertainers, gonna push it to the limit. And he did that on his AMA performance for sure.

Now I saw the performance and I wasnt offended by it cause ive seen many other performers do just as or even worse acts on stage. Adam has talent beyond imagination. He can hit a high note like crazy and blow you away. Now you must know that he was so highly praised and admired on american idol, and with all that attention it sets the bar extremely high. So what do you think is going through an artist's mind?

I think adam wants to be the performer that everyone glamored him to be on idol. So yes he was off key singing because hes trying to do too much at one time. He was trying to entertain the hell out of everyone as much as he could. And he did show a side that many were hoping wasnt gonna show, but guys he is gay!!! We all knew from the get go. So why get so offended when he shows it.

I downloaded his albulm today and its awesome. He can sing anything and its just a great album with a lot of catchy songs and great lyrics. Yes he has a fashion statement, yes he may come off risque at times, but he is not the top of the list for risque, there are many that have beaten him.

I feel that this performance will get talked bout then be a thing in the past. Dont give up on a performer due to his first awards show performace. He has high standards set for him, and wants to keep them there. And I feel that he will learn from this and revisualize his future performances. But dont throw away a piece of talent like that over one performance.

Listen to his album and accredit him for his singing talent. Because he has got it like no one else.

Adam isnt going anywhere.

I forgot to mention that while we were watching The Blind Side, we saw Temple High Schools' former football coach in the movie, we had no clue that he was in the movie prior to going to see it. He had a small non speaking role, he was one of the coaches on the sidelines. I think he is the only person that I know to appear in a movie.

Hi everyone, I've been missing for awhile.

Rickster, I will continue to pray for your sister-in-law!!!
Harriett, I'm glad that you are feeling better.

I went to The Blind Side earlier this evening... loved it! Nana, I think you will really enjoy it!

I didn't vote in the poll about Adam's AMA escapades, it was what I expected from him, over the top.

I agree with that completely. However, the FCC zero tolerance policy doesn't apply to female/female contact during prime time network tv. If it did then many shows would have been fined by now. So why should it apply to male/male? There's an acceptance level for female/female that does not exist for male/male. It IS discriminatory.

Don't get me wrong. I would rather not have watched Adam do what he did last night. I didn't like seeing Brit and Madge swapping spit either!

The Jackson/Timberlake incident (and several award show flubs) changed all broadcast television. So regardless of society’s level of acceptance, networks live in fear of the FCC's zero tolerance policy.

The network wants to get you talking and watching, and the AMA's like the exposure: social acceptance isn't what they crave. What they want can be obtained by generating buzz, the easiest way to get buzz is to shock. However, they also don't want to provide so much shock that they end up being called before a Congressional Committee.

The Jackson/Timberlake thing was live all over the country so there was really no chance to edit.

And I agree with the premise that females kissing each other or fondling each other is more acceptable in the country's psyche than males doing the same thing. In that regard, it is discriminatory, but more in a psychological realm.

Women kissing each other is all over tv today...no editing. Many prime time shows have had female kissing scenes. Gossip Girl just advertised a menage a trois scene. Two girls and a guy. If it had been 2 guys and a girl....it NEVER would have happened outside cable.

So yeah, it IS discriminatory and no, I don't want to see it either! I'm not sure why there's a difference but there is.
