OH lets update NOW. As it turns out Lambert DID sell just short of 200,000 albums his first week coming in third to only Subo and Andrea Bocelli. Now, in April he’s sold over 600,000 more than double Kris Allen. HIs single is platinum, he’s charting internationally with gold and platinum in other countries. He’s Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 Hits Chart, Number ONE on Billboard Dance Chart unseating Gaga, been in itunes Top 10 for the past two weeks and about to embark on headlining his own tour in venues the size of Lady Gaga’s last year. He was the first contestant to mentor American Idol and is selling out every venue he has had one-offs in. The first summer tour venue sold out in 20 minutes. Speaking of which his Fantasy Springs casino concert sold out and Cooks’ at a neaby casino that same night did not. I’d say he’s doing “fairly well” for being the first openly gay singer at the start of his career. And coming from Idol, which normally garners zero respect.

Chris Daughtry is irritating & pompous. Yuk./ Kris Allen is cute & sings OK, but too bland for me. I’m glad he & Adam have remained friends./ Adam Lambert is modern, talented, not afraid to be himself, & will open the doors for many new artists.
Dec. 2009 – I’ve bought only Adam’s music.

Used to love lambert’s music, But now I won’t be buying ,listening, or watching him, that was vulgar, even though kids were supposed to be in bed you know alot wasn’t. I’am totally disgusted ,what people won’t do to sell a album. He should’ve believed in his great ability to sing. He didn’t need to do to sell his music.

Thanks Barker for the inf. I bought Kris’s iTunes pass in May. Would that include in the figures? I liked Kris’s songs and plan to buy more copies of his cd at nearby WalMart after Thanksgiving for family and friends.
I need to hear Allison and adam’s songs before investing.

Lets’s see, for whoever said that Adam’s song was lost on itunes, it was also available on Amazon, other online retailers, and oh yeah, Adam’s site, people didn’t need to go to itunes to buy it. But if they just wanted to do itunes, it was on that site for five days. With all of that it still only sold 18,000 the first week, and 24,000 the week after. BTW, I’m not saying these are bad numbers, they just aren’t numbers that indicate that Adam will sell 200,000 albums in his first week. They sure aren’t numbers that indicate that Adam has done a lot better than Kris, since the numbers are the same.’

Uhm, for the snarky one, the top 40 chart, also known as the CHR/Pop chart ranks all the songs, but of course the biggest accomplishment is being one of the top 40 songs on that chart.

Thanks for the comments n The Blind Side. I do want to go see it and probably will, if I can get someone to go with me. That type movie would never do for hubby!

Well, we’ve certainly managed to bring in new and um, interesting characters lately, huh?

Linny, 70s? Wow…I’ve *read* about them. I kid, well, sort of. I was only around for the last few months of that decade. I think we’ve established I’m the “baby” of the regulars. Oh, and *ducking right along with you** as the thought HAS crossed my mind.

The Blind Side does looke like a really heartwarming story. Kinda reminds me of Rudy a bit. (Except this one has a slightly better ending.) I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Nana, I’m thinking either The Blind Side will be wonderful fantastic heartwarming and chill-producing, or it will totally suck, lol…. i’m guessing it will be a good one, the story certainly is heartwarming!!!
