Jason Castro coming to Discover Mills Mall October 23, Adam Lambert #1 on Amazon

jason_castro

Season seven’s Jason Castro is doing a mall tour. It’s like Tiffany minus the lip gloss, the leg warmers and the cheesy synth sounds. In other words, not like Tiffany at all.

He will be at Discover Mills Mall October 23, according to billboard.com. And believe it — I’ll be there!

In a scheduling move that could potentially put his fans’ loyalties to the test, Castro’s album is due on Atlantic Records Nov. 17, the same day that this year’s “Idol” winner, Kris Allen, will release his own self-titled debut. But Castro says he’s not worried about the competition.

“I see it as an opportunity. We’re all living the dream, so I’m not really concerned about when whose album comes out — I’m just gonna get out there, that’s all I want to do.”

-And Adam Lambert is now at No. 1 on Amazon.com for his advance, untitled album due out November 24. He might pull a Clay Aiken and outsell the winner Kris Allen. In fact, it’s probably a very high likelihood.

Jason still has pretty eyes, but that hair!!! Man, it needs to be washed, cut and styled.

No question that Adam will out sell Kris. If for some reason he doesn’t, it would suprise me and a lot of others as well.

morning Nana, Rodney, and all who lurk or are just waking up…

busy busy day yesterday — plus i got VERY little sleep the night before, my new-ish neighbor’s shepherd was barking all-night-long — at least from 2 am until dawn — the only time she stopped, i would manage to jussssst almost get asleep and she’d start back up. Ugh. I love dogs, but i sure wished for some tranqs to put in a ball of meat THAT night!!! just enough to lull her, mind you, but still…

wish i could go see Jason myself — i know many of you didn’t care for him but he fits right in with one of my fave genres — one of those i love to listen to — sometimes — and usually enjoy quite well.

anywho, again, good morning to all and to all… happy beautiful day today to ya’!!

And Nana, while i could never do my own hair that way, i have learned to “ignore” the dreds… not an easy feat since hair is one my my main attractors when looking at folks, LOL.

Not a good thing to wake up to. However, thanks for digging deep for Idol news. It should be easy to snag an interview. LOL Jason Castro.

“We’re all living the dream” I don’t know, if I keep hearing about Jason Castro it might be a nightmare.

That’s not so fair. I’m no rabid fan, but the kid wasn’t THAT bad! Now, if it were Sanjaya…***shudder*** Jason and Brooke both are low-key, folky, mellow … but sometimes i LIKE that kind of performer. It’s not ALL rock and roll, is it? anyway…. this seems to be one point where we split off, me and most of the rest of you, and include Megan in that … I just see them differently than you-all do, i reckon.

anyway, looking to be another freaky-busy day (GOOD for job security if i don’t screw up!!)

catchya later!!!

I think Rodney is getting back at me for being critical of a few things over the last few days. I think that once I pointed out the “bit” thing he said to himself: “Self, what can I do to get back at that JTesla? Oh yeah a picture of Jason Castro.”

Linny, I think Sanjaya was better than Jason. With Brooke at least she wanted to be there, she wanted to improve and compete. Jason wanted to go to some college dorm, strum his guitar, and tune into some good vibes. He realized that he needed to pay the bills so now a year late he is putting out an album? Don’t wait a year to put this stuff out.

I will have to agree with JT that Jason was very lackadaisical in his performances and didn’t seem to be concerned about them. He seemed to want to be voted off, just my opinion and observation.

I may have news about “Penny” and her going to Hollywood. I should know by Friday and if I do, I will let everyone know. If not by Friday, then as soon as I hear, I will post it. Harm already knows part of it, as it came up during one of our phone conversations, but the outcome is still not settled.

On the previous thread, I asked if anyone knew who was voted off DWTS last night. I missed the last 10 minutes and didn’t see who it was.

TV-gossip from Sweden: Paul Anka’s wife Anna embarrassed the Swedes mightily by appearing in a sordid TV-show called “Swedish Housewives in Hollywood”, until everybody discovered she’s actually Polish. Her frank talk about meeting her husband’s “needs” puts even the Atlanta Housewives to shame.

Swedish idol continues, and just like in the US, the voters don’t vote for the best singers. Cute beats talent every time.

meh. so i’m a stoner wannabe or somethihng, i enjoy the laidback stuff sometimes — you call it lackadaisical, and perhaps to some it is.

Thanks Mercedes for keeping us informed about the Swedish idol.

Since this is supposed to be Joke Wednesday, I have one:

A newly graduate psychiatrist went to the asylum for men to apply for the position for a new doctor. He met with the chief of staff and they had a long interview, then went to see the patients. The young doctor notice that the men were not under control at all. He told the Chief of staff that in a week, he could have the patients under complete control. The chief of staff said that if he could, the position was his. After a week, the chief of staff called the young doctor into his office to see what he had done in getting the patients under controlled. Both doctors went to the patients wing. The young doctor told the older one to watch and see how controlled they were. He yelled out, “Stand up NUTS:” and they all stood. Then he yelled, “Sit down NUTS” and they all sat. Next he yelled, Stand up and get in line NUTS” and they did. The older doctor was so impressed, he offered the position to the young doctor right away. The young doctor accepted and told the older dr that the patients were so controlled that he planned on taking them to the ballgame that night. When the bus came to pick all of them up, the doctor yelled out, “Get on the bus NUTS” and they all got on and sat down. When they arrive at the stadium, they got off and the doctor yelled out, “Get in line and walk to your seats NUTS”, which they did. The older doctor was just amazed at what the young doctor had accomplished in a short period of time and both doctors stood talking. All of a sudden they heard alot of commotion coming from the patients were. They turned and saw what was going. A vendor was coming up the aisle yelling out, “Pea Nuts”.

That is the best thing about this group of people on the blog. We’re allowed to have our own opinions. We may tease each other a little, we may disagree with energy but we don’t call people names for liking something that we don’t like.

Except for the fan-atics……we’re not very kind to fan-atics. But they don’t deserve it! ;-)

Here’s my joke. And Linny, if you say you were just thinking about this joke yesterday… please seek professional help! :-)

A guy walks into a bar and orders a beer. Drink in hand, he hears piano music, and saunters over towards towards an upright piano that’s facing him.

He looks over the top, and sees a guy, about a foot tall… jumping on the keys… playing music. His jaw drops.

He walks back to the bartender and asks, “Where’d you get the piano player?”

Bartender says, “From the magic genie.”

“The magic genie?? I’m not drunk. Did you just say ‘the magic genie?’”

“Yup. I rubbed the lamp” he says, motioning over his shoulder at a beaten, weathered lamp. “The genie came out, I made a wish, and the little guy showed up.”

“Really?”

“Really. Wanna give it a try?”

“Sure!”

The bartender hands the lamp over, and the guy rubs it.

Sure enough… a genie appears in a puff of smoke.

“Close your eyes and make a wish” the genie commands.

The guy closes his eyes… and makes his wish.

“Granted” says the genie – who then disappears in another puff of smoke.

Suddenly, there is a loud noise outside. He walks out, and looks up into a sky FULL of ducks! The noise is horrible.. and the droppings start falling.

The man runs inside and yells at the bartender, “Get that genie back here. I asked for a million DUCKS… not a million ducks.”

The bartender looks at the guy and says, “Oh. And I guess you think I asked for a 12 inch PIANIST?”

Joke contribution:

“Never cheat on a hillbilly woman!”
In West Virginia, a hillbilly’s wife came home just in time to find her husband in bed with another woman. With super-human strength, borne of fury (…and cutting firewood), she dragged him down the stairs, out the back door, and into the tool shed out behind the barn.

She put his tally-whacker in a vise and then secured it tightly and removed the vice handle. Next she picked up an old carpenter’s saw.

The banged up hillbilly was terrified and hollered, “Stop! Stop! You’re not gonna cut it off with that rusty saw, are you?”

The wife, with a gleam of revenge in her eye, put the saw in her husband’s hand and said, “Nope. I’m gonna set this old shed on fire, and go to town for a cold beer. …You do whatever you want.”

To the thread topic, I actually place Jason Castro in the same category as Sanjaya. IMO, he went farther on the show than he EVER should have due mainly to his teen and tween appeal (i.e., those who vote for who they think is ‘cute’ rather than who has actual talent.)

All I remember is a mousy (sometimes bordering on whiny) little voice trying to songs that you can hear sung much better in dozens of clubs around town.

A British newspaper is reporting that Simon Cowell’s show X Factor WILL be coming to the USA and will be on the Fox network.
