Comments on: Paula Abdul leaving Idol (UPDATED)

Nothing against Paula personally, but I really would not miss her at all. She hardly ever has any substantive comments to make. She often seems confused, reaching for something to say. She seems to mostly comment on their appearance and how she “feels” about them. The other judges all make good, critical comments and suggestions. As mush as some people dislike Simon, he knows the business and he knows what works. I don’t necessarily always agree with his opinions, but I respect them. Randy is without a doubt extremely creditable and absolutely knows the business as well. Kara proved herself to be a good judge with good, meaningful critiques. You just can’t say any of that about Paula. So, I say, if she is unhappy, fine, bring in someone who’s opinion will actually have merit.

Everyone that is not happy about Paula leaving American Idol should not watch the new show…………..I’m not going to watch the show without Paula……………..

I hate to see her go, she kept a balance. BUT PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN

I think Evan’s popularity shows that indeed there is a window of opportunity for the Astair/Rogers/Connor/Kelly style of dance —

I agree, Jannine was much better than Kayla last night — Kayla has consistently been one of the best dancers, along with Brandon, all season, but Jannine BROUGHT it last night, big time!

I think the Nasty Boyz number should have been choreographed so that Brandon was the Nasty Boy and Evan the goody type, but at the very end, Evan could do something like pull a rug out from under Brandon (and of course brandon do one of his signature “dives” or a back flip) -0- i think that would have showcased Evan in his own element better than trying to make him look “bad”.

But I agree, Brandon SHOULD win the whole thing, and as of last night, my order is Brandon-Jannine-Kayla-Evan — although PERSONALLY I’d give Evan a lot more credit than he’s been given ESPECIALLY by Mary and Nigel. Oh well. But he’s DEFINITELY brought a new light to the style of dance that we ol’ timers love so much. All in all last night was an INCREDIBLE show!

But i was a teensy bit ticked off — my “channel listing” showed the 8 oclock hour as a rerun of last week’s result show, so i didn’t bother turning it on till 8:20, and missed the number with Jannine and Evan completely

Highlander, I thought about Fred but did forget about Ginger. Shame on me!!!!!

That era of dance style should come back.
