If you missed Jennifer Hudson yesterday during the MJ memorial, check this out. She’s VERY pregnant:
-Daughtry’s latest “Leave This Town” is up for preview listening on MTV.
Unfortunately, his aptly titled single “No Surprise” is struggling to make the top 20. The problem: the song literally offers no surprises at all. If you listen to the rest of it, tell us what you think.

Thanks Rodney, but something is wrong with the formating (which you can probably see and are working on right now)

I had no idea that lots of numbers and symbols meant that you are very pregnant!
She is huge, for those who have not seen her. And before JHud fans start yelling at me…I was HUGE during my first pregnancy, too. It was the best excuse to eat that I’d ever had!
I hope Daughtry does better with Leave This Town.

All those numbers and symbols are the formulas that show how quickly Jennifer’s “bun in the oven” is growing! As you can see… it’s pretty complicated!

JHud is huge, as most women are with their fist pregnancy. Like Deirdre, I was also VERY HUGE with my first. Went from 93 pounds to a whopping 179. Looked like the goodyear blimp. Do you know when the blessed event is due?
Daughtry won’t be hurting from the sales yet. The numbers could take a turn for the better.

i was ****huge**** for my first also in 1970 — went from 125 to about 180 — but strangely enough, it was all straight forward — from the back you couldn’t tell i was pregnant — from the side it looked as if i had swallowed the proverbial watermelon and i don’t mean the personal size one!!

Thanks Rickster — that was … interesting. She sounded nice, it was appropriate — but what was with the circle of signers gathering around and bowing in and out around Jen? i found that a little weird personally. i LOVE watching signers perform with a singer,it’s one of my most favorite things, because i so love the idea of communicating not just with words, but with the body — but… the circle was just…. well…weird…to me.

JT…you’re lucky! My sweet husband thought I needed calcium and kept feeding me milkshakes cuz I wouldn’t drink as much milk as he thought I should. He joined me for our afternoon milkshakes and gained about 15 pounds. I gained 45…120 to 165….I looked like a beached whale!
I will point out that the son of a b…….excuse me, my sweet husband…..lost the baby weight a lot faster than I did!

Nana, I did watch, Jillian should’ve gotten rid of him a long time ago, I have no real preference as to who she chooses now.
AGT,I love the Lawrence guy, but I love deep voices! I personally could live without the freak-show acts, I don’t want to see people sticking drills up their noses!
I watched the entire MJ memorial and was mostly pleased with everyone except for one, you can probably guess which one. I hope the children can have some kind of a normal life now, but I don’t expect that they can.

Thanks, Linny, for explanation on previous blog how AGT works. I now know to check back when the semi-finals start. This stuff with hooks in people’s noses and men turning their feet backward was not for me.
Enjoyed link to Tacoma blogger. Thanks to the photos I could now tell that the girl who performed in her black undies and naughty boots was Megan Joy.
I went from 110 to 170 with my first child.

I was working all day yesterday, so I didn’t see any of the MJ memorial. But I’m glad that it was truly a memorial (at least from what I’ve heard) and not an opportunity for eejits like Sharpton to get face time!
Regarding AGT, there are wayyyyyy too many bizarro ‘acts’ in the beginning episodes to make the show completely watchable. Thank God (or whoever developed it originally) for TiVO!! Nothing like zipping right past the contortionists, tumblers and hack magicians!
Of course, that’s just my opinion.

Thanks for the good wishes linny….I know you know…you’ve been with me through most of it.
Mercedes…Megan says she feels honored to get to wear the “tour slut” outfit. At least the guys have something to focus on besides her singing.

Okay, let’s review what I’ve learned looking over the blog (and the clip Rodney included from the MJ memorial):
I’ve learned that Jennifer Hudson can still belt out a song with that powerful, beautiful voice.
I’ve learned that, like others here, I think the choreography for Jennifer’s number was really strange. (Was that taken from ‘Hair’ or ‘Godspel’??)
I’ve learned that D’s mom isn’t feeling well. (Best wishes and prayers on that front, D.)
I’ve learned that Linny sems to be the go-to-gal when it comes to questions regarding AGT.
And, I’ve learned that the majority of the women on this blog balloon up like sperm whales when preggers! (Perhaps that was a bad metaphorical choice! Sorry, right brain just blurts things out at times!)
On another note, while zipping through the DVR of AGT, I came across the performance of Lawrence Beamer (I think that’s right). Harm mentioned him earlier and I think Linny talked about him in the last thread. He is fantastic. I’ve heard a few female singers perform who, with certain songs, can make the hair on your arms stand up. I can honestly say this is the first time it’s happened while listening to a male vocal!
I realize I’m judging this from just one song, but he sounds like the real deal. I can envision him doing a cd of standards or, better yet, a cd of hits from the late, great Barry White.

Rodney always jumps the gun on song success. Carrie has 3-4 songs that have gone no. 1 that he prematurely declared dead like ITYS. Daughtry won’t necessarily top the singles charts, but he’ll enter the top 20 soon.

Good Morning Everybody………………
Today’s Quote: “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
SYTYCD last night was really good, with the exception of the Russian dance. No one can fault the dancers as they were good, but the choreography was not,IMO. It reminded me of Hansel and Gretal for some reason. At this stage of the competition, it’s anyone’s guess who will win. My faves are Randi and partner as well as Kayla and partner. (Sorry, but I just forgot the names of the guys.)
Haven’t we had enough of the Michael Jackson saga? I know I have. For goodness sakes, he’s not the first star to pass and won’t be the last, so the media (Rodney is the exception)needs to find something else to report. Enough is enough!

Morning!
We had a storm last night, that dumped over 2 inches of rain on us in less than 20 minutes. It was a humdinger!
Highlander…we all ballooned up like whales for our FIRST pregnancy. This is an educated group…we learned our lesson before the second pregnancy!
Nana, sometimes odd heroes are chosen. Michael Jackson may have been an entertainment icon, a musical genius, but his life ended under questionable circumstances. I welcome the hero-worship of the musician but seriously question it for the man himself, whose obvious physical and emotional problems seem to have contributed to his death. Time will tell.

11Alive.news is still saying that over a billion people watched the MJ memorial, that’s just a big fat lie. It was not the most watched event on television, it was not even the most watched memorial. Pricess Di’s was. However, it was the most over the top, over the top show I have seen. It was more like a concert than a memorial. Like MJ, the whole thing was weird. As long as his music is selling again, that crazy family will never bury him. What a bunch of freaks!

Good morning. Just MHO, but I think they can’t bury MJ in a “normal” setting without guards, etc. There will be people trying to dig him up, for crying out loud! It is a real dilemma. Even lesser artists, such as Jim Morrison, have had their graves either desecrated or chipped away by memorabilia hunters. And, shame on 11 Alive for lying!

Highlander..surely you’ve learned that jesting about a woman’s pregnancy weight is akin to taking a stroll through a mine field. Unless you’ve personally “been there and done that” it’s a life threatening situation.

Hopefully, I can speak for most of us ladies on here(who has gone through first pregnancies) concerning JHud. Her size is not and never was in question. You learn from the first time about the weight gain and how to deal with it. I personally think a woman who is with child is one of the most beautiful women on earth. They have a special glow that can not be matched. This child that JHud is carrying is a precious gift from God and I hope and pray that it will lessen the loss of her family. Of course, although her pain over losing them will always be there, she is being given a new person in her life to love. The joys of motherhood is beyond amazing. There is no way to measure it.
Deirdre in response to your comment on Michael Jackson, I am in total agreement with it. I just feel like enough time has been spent on him and all the saga. While I understand he is still very much an icon, I know that there are people who will never get enough of him. There comes a point in life where one has to draw the line and deal with all things that happen. I also realize that the saga will continue for some time to come.
And people please, no more calling him a FREAK!!!!!! He was a human being the same way that you and I are. Have respect for him if for no other reason than that.

Hi everyone. I thought the MJ memorial was tasteful except for Al Sharpton. The choreography for Jennifer Hudsons performance must have been done by Mia Michaels. Other than that however it was a nice tribute for a disturbed man.

Y’all read about that unfortunate young man who fell into a huge vat (8 feet deep, 14 feet long, 6 feet wide) of hot chocolate and died? Might be a good idea to stay away from any and all of Hershey temptations for awhile.
