Got an ugly ticket that I want to get out of. My friend turned me on to a free site, (no email needed, they make money on advertisements) on how to get out of a speeding ticket. I know a new blog is up, but it’s a new theme, and I wanted to finish this one… re JT’s comment on gay bashers being gay themselves, just found out that Barney Frank, one of the most powerful, and popular, members of Congress, who came out in 1987, and has been reelected 13 times, had a mini-scandal in his past, when a former lover tried to take advantage of him. And who then tried to expel Frank from Congress, if not, ahem, Larry Craig!

So true, JT and I have first hand knowledge of it. Gay-bashing is often used to hide the fact of the basher’s preference. I wouldn’t call it denial or self-hatred either…more self-preservation…and for a politician…that “preservation” has a lot to do with getting votes.

Unfortunately people other than politicians do the same thing, but I wouldn’t call it denial. There are multiple stories of someone engaging in gay bashing only to be gay themselves. I’ve read firsthand accounts of these gay-gaybashers who alluded to the fact that they were the fiercest of the bashers. It’s more complex than denial or vote pandering. Just throwing that out there.

As for the S.C. gov. meh, the state obviously did not collapse in his absence
