JT - idol has not the same without Nigel, that's for sure. I'm inclined to believe he was the brains behind the show. (*)

We "might" have the two song format next week? Idol is broken. Did Nigel really do THAT much for the show that once he left the whole thing went into cluster mode?

You guys don't know what the hell you are talking about! Matt and Kris are by far the best performers up there! All Adam brings to AI is Broadway. Its like he's performing a different character every night! He sucks! I swear if i see his tongue one more time i'll puke! You need to seriously ask yourself if you would really ever buy one of his cd's. I mean, what the hell would he sing? I can see the title album now...Adam Lambert-best of broadway...rock style. LAME!

Guess Harm has me labeled a mutt as well. Mutts are good. They make great companions and give unconditional love. That's me!

I thought that Jamie Foxx was a better mentor than some of the more professionals Idol has had. BTW, IBW, great video of him singing. He really is a great man, actor, and singer.

I hope all are ready to wave goodbye to Matt tonight. Just as long as it's him and not Allison, I will be a happy camper.

What really fries my hide is that the judges are paid so frickin much that the show is willing to ditch the singers rather than the judges comments! That's a load of you know what!

This from mj seems to address the issue we had with the 5 song rather than 10 song format last night(thanks mj):

Five songs. One hour. So much filler. It really plsses me off that the judges’ inability to keep their critiques short and sweet forced the producers to ditch the two-song format for Top 5 week. They tried–the contestants were rehearsing two songs, and the AI site initially promoted a 10 song episode–but in the end the decision was made to cut one of the contestant’s songs and hire a mentor to fill up the time.

Thank Jeebus for small favors–Jamie Foxx proved to be a helpful and entertaining mentor. But, now I’ll never know how the kids would have handled two standards. Boo.

And guess what? I heard that Debbie the stage manager told yesterday’s dress rehearsal crowd that next week might feature the two-song format. Might. Oh, and despite this week’s reconfiguration, the end of the episode was still rushed! So, I’m not holding my breath.
