Here's a chance to vote in USA Today for your wildcard picks. David Osmond and Jamar Rogers are leading, which happen to be my two picks too.

Think I'm going to head home and maybe I can beat the worse of the rain. Although, right at the office it's raining so hard one can't see across the parking lot. At this rate, it will take me twice as long to get home. If I leave in a few, if I'm lucky, I should be home around 4-4:30, providing I don't have any trouble.

Anyway, ya'll have a great week-end. Be safe, be happy, be cozy. And please, be very careful on the roads. It is nasty out.

I think that's right, harriett. But I like the idea of the judges picking a group then selecting 3 from the group.....this way the wild cards aren't just the pick of a single judge but of the judges together.

Would someone refresh my memory about the wild card history? Didn't the judges used to pick one each that they liked instead of bringing back a whole group of folks?

They're always going to pimp somebody and they should...it's part of their job description. We, as voters, can listen or not. Most of the time it's not. Cook won and he wasn't pushed by any of the judges until about halfway through the top 12. Simon hated Taylor. And Melinda was everyone's first pick the year Jordin won year.
