I did not see this blog earlier, but to clarify for the umpteenth time, especially for the naysayers: Phil Stacey, like Billboard has mentioned before, left Lyric Street. The exact words, as posted in "The Everday Christian ( http://everydaychristian.com/leisure/story/253/ ),Phil " left Lyric Street, which released his first album, to join Sony's Reunion Records to cut a contemporary Christian album." Since Lyric Street is a country label, he could not record a Christian album with him; plus they did not support him as well as they could have. There are other artists on the label who have not done as well, either, and are still there. HE WAS NOT DROPPED. I, for one, look forward to this new cd, as it is very much what Phil himself is about: a devoted Christian man who sings about his God.

Actually, Phil Stacey wasn't dropped. He chose to leave because he wanted to record Christian Contemporary rather than Country.

1. Thrilled for Phil Stacey. I think Christian music is where he will excel.

2. Also thrilled for Diana DeGarmo. She's turned into quite the songwriter! "I'm Gone" is excellent and I wish her much success.

3. What can I say about Kelly Clarkson that hasn't already been said. AI is so lucky to have found her. I'm happy to see her song is so well received.

No problem, k&cf...we know exactly who's on your list! :-)

As for the poor guy who was made to look like a psycho stalker...I think they might owe him more than an apology.
