Kelly Clarkson’s marketing folks have teamed up with AT&T to offer a sneak peek of her new video for her quickly rising single “My Life Would Suck Without You” during the Salt Lake City auditions tonight. After the show, the video will be available online at www.att.net and on AT&T phones by texting KELLY to 8008.
Oddly, I found news about six season five contestants in one day. That was the best year, wasn’t it? (It was certainly my best year for page views on this blog. Ahh… those were the days!)
“The album she is working on will show many new sides to her talents as an interpreter and a songwriter, and show everyone just how special she is,” Verve Music Group president/CEO Bruce Resnikoff says.
Good for her! I suspect she’ll be doing more standards than pop. That better fits her style. As an actress, she was okay in “The House Bunny” though she’s hardly the next Amy Adams.
-Taylor Hicks has released a new single “What’s Right is Right.” It’s available on iTunes. If you love Taylor’s 70s-era rock-soul, the 30-second snippet I heard is right up his alley.
Mandisa’s latest single also came out the same day. It’s dubbed “My Deliverer” and is on iTunes, too. I like what I heard. I’m going to have to download it myself.
“American Idol Extra” on Fox Reality has dumped J.D. Roberto and Gina Glocksen for Ace Young and Jillian Reynolds (”Good Day LA”). Constantine Maroulis will return as a field correspondent. The weekly show premieres March 26.
And here’s a gratuitous photo of Kellie Pickler (thank you MJ for finding this) on her MySpace page promoting Sexy Hair products. This one’s for you, JTesla!
-And back in the days when I had the ability to embed video, I would have posted one of Chris Sligh singing “Here Comes Goodbye,” the song that is already in the top 40 on the country charts for Rascal Flatts. He co wrote the song. But instead, here’s the link instead. Best I can do under the circumstances. What do you think? I prefer his voice over that of Gary LeVox.
