12/31: Ch-ch-ch-changes!
I am in the midst of switching the world from Movable Type (again) and now to Wordpress. Welcome to the new blog! I started the “American Idol” blog in early 2005 just before the Bo Bice/Carrie Underwood season. Since then, the blog has generated more than 5 million page views. We actually changed to a different blog interface in 2007 but it was a one-year experiment and we reverted back to Movable Type in 2008. Now it’s about to be 2009 and welcome to Wordpress. Please be patient with me as I try to figure out the functionality here. I know there’s some polling software so that should be fun.
Maybe I should try a link for kicks. Here’s a story about Fox resurrecting itself again in time for “Idol” in the New York Times.
I hope that works. I’ll try photos soon.

Rodney, will we have to actually create log-in for WordPress? Will there be an automatic link to do this? what will be the difference between logging in and just commenting on a blog? IS there a difference? I know, I know….waaaaay too many questions for this stage of your preparation! Curious minds, however, wish to know!!!

Hope everyone had a safe and good NYE and a good start on 2009. I was in my kitchen this morning at 7:15 and have just completed all my clean up. Only had to cook for 26 people, and I am bone tired. Have to take dad back home tomorrow, then back home on Saturday, then I will collapse. Love the holidays but they do leave me worn out.
Let me see if I can do an emoticon……(:_:). I made be dumber than I think I am if it doesn’t work, so here goes.

Looking forward to the new year, New AI, New Lost, New 24 … and I’m enjoying “Leverage” as well… sort of a cross between Mission Impossible and The Equalizer, with maybe a touch of McGuyver thrown in.

Hi everybody! I’m new to posting, but have been reading everything for about 3 yrs. Started watching AI in the Taylor Who season and have been addicted ever since. Can’t wait for the new season – changes & all! I know I’ll learn a lot on here (always have), and just I hope I won’t make anybody too mad at me. LOL!

Thanks for the warm welcomes! OK, Deirdre, here’s a little about me. Was 13 when the Beatles came out, which makes me older than dirt. Born & raised right here in the ATL – high school, college, the whole thing. Used to hang out in the 14th St Hippie District when I was in high school…..Loved music my whole life…..currently have a b/f who played percussion w/ some of the greats when they were in town – Allman Bros., BB King, etc. Which kinda makes watching AI w/ him a little bit of a challenge – smarmy comments, lame jokes – I usually keep a water pistol handy to squirt him when things get really bad :>)
So….let’s hope for a great AI year. It’s only a little over a week away – whoo hoo!
